Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated President of the Portuguese Republic Aníbal Cavaco Silva on the occasion of the national holiday, the press service of the head of state reports.
"On behalf of the Ukrainian people and myself I cordially congratulate you on the national holiday of the Republic of Portugal," the statement reads.
Yanukovych is confident that the friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between Ukraine and Portugal will continue to develop in a spirit of trust and mutual understanding.
