
A Yak-52 trainer aircraft crash-landed at the Chaika training airfield near in Kyiv on Saturday, RBC-Ukraine has reported, citing a source at the State Service on Emergency Situations, Ukrinform reports.
"A Yak-52 trainer airplane crashed at the Chaika training airfield near Kyiv today, on June 8, at 12.00. The aircraft's pilot was killed, and a cadet, who also was in the cabin, was hospitalized with multiple injuries," reads the report.
According to the statement, a commission led by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul left for the scene.
