The Kyiv City State Administration declared a state of emergency of the regional level at the slopes of the Dnipro River from Volodymyr's Hill to the Pechersk Landscape Park.

As ForUm correspondent reports, a corresponding proposal was made today at the meeting of the KCSA commission on industrial and environmental safety and emergency management by the commission’s head Serhiy Riumshyn.

According to him, at the moment there are 120 landslide-prone areas in Kyiv.

46 areas have very seriously intensified this year, and 10 of them have been already given the status of an extremely situation at the regional level.

"I urge the members of the commission, apart from existing ten areas, identify as emergency the situation, occurred in some areas on the slopes of the Dnipro River," he said.

This decision was supported by members of the committee, therefore, regional emergency is declared at 11 sites due to the threat of landslides.
