According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt, a Hurghada-Kyiv flight that was to carry 189 tourists to Ukraine was canceled on June 5, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Yevhen Perebyinis said that the delay was caused by a technical fault on the plane, Interfax-Ukraine informs.
“According to the tour operator, experts arrived in Hurghada on June 5 to repair the aircraft, and the tour operator accommodated the tourists in a local hotel at its own expense,” he said.
Perebyinis said that according to the Ukrainian Embassy, the repair of the aircraft is complete and its departure to Kyiv was scheduled for 2 pm Kyiv time on Thursday.
