Yatseniuk requires working out general bill on elections in problematic constituencies
Opposition demands to prepare the bill on repeated elections, which was approved by all factions, in the problematic constituencies, leader of the Batkivshchyna faction Arseniy Yatseniuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have seen today that the agenda of the Parliament, contrary to all previous agreements, includes a draft law on elections in so-called five troubled constituencies.

The party in power, contrary to the declaration agreement of our European partners, which stipulates that this law must be signed by representatives of all factions and voted by all MPs, submitted a draft on repeated elections in the problematic constituencies on August 18. It is when we cannot invite Ukrainian or foreign observers, when the largest administrative resource is used and when Ukrainians are on vacation. All of these factors will help to falsify the upcoming elections," Yatseniuk said.

He also criticized provisions of the bill authorizing the courts to deprive deputies of mandates. He insists on the need to work out a general bill of the government and the opposition on repeated elections in the problematic constituencies, as well as on early elections of Kyiv mayor and Kyiv City Council members on October 27, 2013.
