Ukraine managed to prevent a decline in living standards in 2012, President’s annual address to the Verkhovna Rada on the domestic and foreign situation in Ukraine in 2013 reads.
"Policy reforms have already produced a positive effect. Ukraine has managed to curb the negative impact of the European depression of 2012. Living standards in many countries in Europe have significantly declined. Ukraine has managed to prevent this," the President noted.
According to the document, speeding up of the development of the national economy will allow continuing a steady course of improving the welfare of Ukrainian citizens. "In 2013, the main priority will be the social investment in the future, in those, who will build and develop Ukraine during the XXI century," the address says.
