Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a decree to put into force a resolution by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on the development of the nuclear industry and creation of the nuclear fuel cycle to ensure the country’s energy security.
The NSDC passed a relevant classified document on June 5, 2013, the presidential press service said on Wednesday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The head of state also ordered NSDC Secretary Andriy Kliuyev to supervise the fulfillment of the decree.
The complete text of the classified resolution has not been published.
