Prime Minister Mykola Azarov instructed the State Emergency Service to prepare for possible floods due to heavy rains in the European countries.

"Emergency services need to be fully prepared for possible adverse developments in the basins of some Ukrainian rivers," Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
Azarov stressed that due to continuous rains and floods in neighboring European countries, there have been changes in the hydrological situation: the rise in water in rivers up to 50 cm was recorded in the basins of the rivers Prut, Tysa, Dnister.

According to PM, the rainfall in the western Ukraine increased flooding in Volyn, Rivne and Lviv regions, and significant rainfall continues.
