The National Bank of Ukraine continues to promote commemorative coins issued in Ukraine at the international level, NBU deputy governor Vira Rychakovska said after the completion of the competition "The Best Coin of the Year in Ukraine" for 2012, ForUm correspondent reports.
"A few years ago, our coin won the contest in Venice, we took the second and the third places, that meant that our coins were valued enough. Now we are involved in almost all exhibitions at the international level to resume our positions and to sell our coins in the world," Rychakovska said.
She also recalled that last year, the National Bank of Ukraine issued 37 items of commemorative coins, including one gold, two bimetallic, 17 silver and 17 coins of nickel silver.
