80 new driver's license with chip, containing biometric data of the owner, have been already issued in Kyiv, director of road safety and automation systems department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Serhiy Budnik said during the roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official informed that as of June 3, the interdistrict registration and examination departments of the capital issued 80 new licenses, 300 more are in the works. "So far, the new document is issued only in three interdistrict registration and examination departments in Kyiv but soon they will be available in other regions. The cost of the driver's license with the chip is 247.8 UAH, without a chip - 198 UAH, the driver selects the type of license by himself," the expert said.
