Parliament rejected a bill on abolishing unjustified benefits and privileges to persons, authorized to perform state functions.

As ForUm correspondent reports, the bill was supported by 203 deputies.

Parliament’s speaker Volodymyr Rybak proposed sending the bill to the repeated first reading, but this proposal was not also supported, getting only 204 votes.

It should be noted that the Parliament’s committee on state building and local self-government and the Parliament’s expert legal council did not recommend the adoption of the bill.

According to the head of the relevant committee David Zhvania, the proposals "do not have complex character".

He added that currently there are several bills regarding abolishment of privileges and benefits of officials and MPs, registered in the Parliament.
