
June 1-4, agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk pays a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Within the framework of visit there were held talks on deepening cooperation in agriculture, infrastructure development and investment attraction.
Meeting with transport minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Jabara bin Eid Al-Suraiseri, there was raised the question of cooperation in the field of infrastructure. According to Prysiazhniuk, Ukraine is interested in deepening investment cooperation with that country.
Agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine added that the bilateral grows due to exports of Ukrainian agricultural products to Saudi market.
"Ukraine is interested in increasing supplies of finished products of domestic agriculture and food to the Saudi market. In 2012, domestic farmers exported to Saudi Arabia agricultural products worth 581.5 million dollars. Since the beginning of 2013, domestic farmers exported agricultural products worth 34.2 million dollars," he said.
