A significant increase in the water level in several rivers of the Western Europe, in particular in the Danube, will come to Ukraine in the next 20-25 days, deputy director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Anatoly Prokopenko informed.

The weatherman also noted that water level in the rivers will increase also because of intensive rainfall in the country.

High water in the rivers of Rivne, Volyn, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions is going on.
Prokopenko also mentioned that situation is more complicated in Volyn region, where several towns may be flooded due to further flood of Prypyat.

Today, thousands of people have been evacuated in the south and south-east Germany because of lingering showers resulted in increase in water level in the Elbe and the Danube.
