The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has advised Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to Turkey at the present time because of the worsened security situation in the country.

“Due to the deteriorating security situation in Turkey, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry advises Ukrainian citizens to refrain at this stage from traveling to the country, particularly to such cities as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Eskisehir, Mugla, Konya, Yalova, Antalya and Bolu,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its web site on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Ukrainians, who are now in Turkey, in order to avoid threats to their life and health, are advised not to visit crowded sites and not to participate in protests, demonstrations and other public events.
