
Opposition claims that early elections of Kyiv mayor and deputies of the Kyiv City Council should be held on October 27, 2013, it was discussed during the conciliation board of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.
In particular, head of the Fatherland faction in the Parliament, MP Arseniy Yatseniuk stated that Ukraine's Constitutional Court replaced the Parliament with its decision to hold elections in 2015.
In turn, leader of the Freedom faction Oleh Tyahnybok said that "the Constitution of Ukraine stipulates holding of elections every five years," and said that his political force also insists on holding early elections of the mayor and deputies of the Kyiv City Council.
Vitali Klitschko, leader of the UDAR faction, supported the opposition colleagues. In addition, he considers that it is necessary to combine a post of the KCSA head and the Kyiv mayor.
