Opening the conciliation board of the Parliament, speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak said that he considers inappropriate to hold parliamentary hearings in the present format, ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, Rybak is outraged by the fact that MPs do not attend parliamentary hearings, and heads of government agencies and experts are not invited to the session hall. As an example, Rybak cited parliamentary hearings in the penultimate week of May, regarding the implementation of court decisions. "There was hardly half of hall," Rybak noted and added that no more than five MPs attend all the parliamentary hearings.

"Maybe will we not hold them? Do we need them?" he addressed the MPs and suggested considering important issues for committee hearings.
