Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych emphasizes the need for creating decent conditions for the full and complete development and stay within the family of every child, the President’s address on the occasion of Children's Day reads, press service of Head of State reported.

"Every year in early June, we celebrate the Children's Day - the international holiday with more than half a century of history. Children are our most precious treasure, the future and the hope of the country. Primary duty of the family, schools, government bodies and the public is to ensure appropriate level of care and respect for their rights, to constantly take care of formation of their abilities and interests," Yanukovych noted.

According to him, "we have a great responsibility for the children, their carefree childhood and happy tomorrow. This is why the social initiatives, among other, provide for creating decent conditions for the full and complete development and stay within the family of every child".

Yanukovych thanked all those who "have devoted their life to education of the young generation: parents, teachers, coaches, social workers. I pay special respect to people, who daily care for children left without parental care, and most in need of our attention, warmth and love".

He wished "young citizens of Ukraine and all, who open heart to children and their problems, good health, well-being, pursuit of plans and desires".
