A quarter of applicants for passing external independent testing is school graduates of previous years, director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment Iryna Zaitseva told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"25% of the registered are graduates of previous years, but those are not always the ones, who want to improve the result. We have a stable contingent of coaches, who register and pass EIT each year," she noted.

According to Zaitseva, students of the first and the second years of study are also among applicants. The reasons are different - someone wants to test his knowledge, someone is disappointed in the chosen profession," Zaitseva stressed.

She added that the state should provide the possibility to pass EIT at public expense only once. "You know about the problems of under-funding. Perhaps it would become a source of additional funding.
Zaitseva added that 10% of those passing retest fail cope with the EIT tasks and do not get the minimum 124 points.
