The European Union is ready to hold a dialogue with Moscow on the participation of the EU partners in the policies of the Customs and Eurasian unions. As the EU Delegation to Ukraine reports, it was stated by European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle, speaking during the third session of the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels on 28 May.
"We are ready to hold a dialogue with our partners and Moscow on those policies of the Eurasian and Customs unions, which our partners may be involved in, without questioning the content of the negotiations on Association Agreements," the commissioner said.
In particular, when speaking about relations with Russia and the Customs Union, Füle stressed the need "for strengthening and enhancing exchange of views" with the country.
He recalled the proposal to strengthen contacts between the European Commission and the Eurasian Union on the most topical issues, in particular relating to the regulatory framework. "We are very interested in the regulatory work of the European Union to be compatible with the one, which the Eurasian Union conducts," Füle stressed.
