Ukraine reduces gas consumption by 7.3% for four months

In January-April of this year, Ukraine reduced the natural gas consumption by 7.3%, compared to the same period in 2012 - up to 24.46 billion cubic meters. The relevant statistics was posted on the website of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.

According to the Ministry, in particular, in April of 2013, the gas consumption increased by 6.4% - up to 3.7 billion cubic meters. 

The gas imports for four months decreased by 19.7% - to 8.55 billion cubic meters, transit - by 18.5% - up to 26.18 billion cubic meters.
