240 million UAH more compared with the previous year will be allocated for health improvement and summer holidays for children this year, social policy minister Natalia Korolevska told a briefing,  ForUm correspondent reported.

"In 2012, 2 billion 174 million UAH were allocated for health improvement and recreation of children. In 2013, 2 billion 413 million UAH have been allocated. The bulk of these funds goes from the Social Insurance Fund, which will allocate about 160 million UAH," she explained.

In addition, according to Korolevska, share of funds from the state budget allocated for summer holidays for children increased from 418 million UAH in 2012 to 506 million in 2013. However, resources, intended for recreation for children, decreased at the local level.
