The bill, which removes the ban on privatization of Ukraine's gas facilities, including the gas transportation system (GTS), will not be considered in the Parliament yet, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"We do not see a required number of votes in the Parliament to support the consideration of this bill," Yefremov said.

According to him, the adoption of this document may cause controversy in the Ukrainian society, as Ukrainians are afraid of the fact that Russia can seize the GTS. Therefore, according to Yefremov, the creation of a tripartite consortium with participation of the EU is the most acceptable option for Ukraine.

Yefremov also said that the fate of this bill will be decided at the meeting of the conciliatory council of the leaders of factions of the Verkhovna Rada.
