The growth potential of Ukraine’s economy is limited with external business environment, economic development and trade minister Ihor Prasolov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
Taking this into account, the Cabinet is working to create conditions to encourage development of the domestic market, he said.
"This is a key goal of the program to enhance the development of the economy for 2013-14. Its implementation should activate economic growth in the country. Although, the domestic GDP fell by 1.3% in the first quarter compared to January-March of 2012, its dynamic has positive changes. Thus, the seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 0.5% in the first quarter of this year regarding IV quarter of 2012," the minister noted.
He added that in the II half of the year, we expect revival of the European economy, and it will positively influence Ukraine.
According to him, the key principle of this program is to provide effective management of financial resources and decision-making in full transparency.
