The Desenka River near the park of Friendship of Peoples in Desniansky district, Kyiv region overflowed because of the recent rains, press service of the Kyiv department of the State Emergency Service told ForUm.
"In addition, there was tide in the morning. Cyclists and motorcyclist drove into the dam. Since Desenka become more affluent than usual, its water at high tide flooded the way in which people got on the dam. As a result, the rescuers carried cyclists and motorcyclists along with their vehicles ashore by boats," press service explained.
