President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych states that one of the priorities of the state policy is support for physical education of youth. A congratulatory message of the President on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishments of the Kyiv Olympic Committee reads.
"I sincerely congratulate you on the anniversary of the Kyiv Olympic Committee, which is also celebrated by the International Olympic Committee, national committees and sports federations. One hundred years ago, Kyiv host the first Russian Olympics, which marked the beginning of the Olympic movement on the Ukrainian land," message reads.
According to Yanukovych, now one of the priorities of the state policy is the full support for harmonious physical education of youth, active promotion of healthy lifestyles, development of sports infrastructure.
"Thanks to the joint coordinated actions we worthily held the finals of the European Football Championship Euro 2012, and two years later, I am sure, will gladly welcome the strongest basketball teams of the continent. I am convinced that Ukraine will continue making every effort to obtain the right to organize international competitions of the highest level. I wish the Olympic movement success, persistence and new victories," he concluded.
