Domestic farmers continue increasing volume of agricultural production. Thus, in January-April, it increased by 5.1%. In general, Ukraine is expected to produce agricultural products worth 236 billion hryvnia in 2013, director of the Department for Economic Development of Agricultural Market Vitaly Sabluk said during the collegium of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, held within the framework of the exhibition "Agro-2013".
"In January-April, gross agricultural output increased by 5.1%in all categories. 20 regions showed the growth. If we keep this positive trend, we can hope that in the current year Ukraine will produce agricultural products worth 236 billion hryvnia, which is 6% more than in 2012," Vitaly Sabluk said.
According to the director of the Department, food production increased during this period, and the prices lowered.
