The Venice Commission hopes to receive from Ukraine the draft law on the prosecutor's office in June, secretary of the Venice Commission Thomas Markert said at the meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs.
"We heard that we will get the draft at the end of June," he noted.
Markert said that in such a case, the assessment of draft by the Venice Commission can be made until the end of October.
Secretary of the Venice Commission stressed that the Commission has repeatedly criticized the current Ukrainian law on the prosecutor's office, the activities of which are still built on Soviet principles.
