The Verkhovna Rada Committee on legislative support for law enforcement activity has rejected a draft law № 2646-1 banning abortion at the initiative of MP of the Party of Regions faction Vitaly Zhuravsky, the press service of the PR reports.
According to Zhuravsky, the ban of legal abortion will dramatically increase the number of illegal abortions, forced newborn mortality, orphanhood that will only deepen the demographic crisis in the future.
He is convinced that the introduction of the ban on abortion can lead to the spread of corruption in this area, whereby the number of abortions will increase.
