Foreign minister Leonid Kozhara acknowledged that the issue of criminal prosecution of ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko is the most problematic one in relations between Ukraine and the European Union, in particular, in context of signing the Association Agreement.

"As for Tymoshenko, I want to say that in fact there is no larger problem in relations between Ukraine and the European Union. We could discuss dozens of other issues, but due to the fact that this problem is too politicized, we have to discuss this problem, as well," Kozhara said on Friday, May 17, on air of Inter TV channel.

Kozhara emphasized that the term "selective justice" is inappropriate to use in this context because it is that of political science. Foreign minister also noted that he does not say that signing of the agreement is directly depends on release of Tymoshenko.

"I said that Tymoshenko is far the biggest problem in relations between the European Union and 46 million Ukrainians, but today we discuss other hundreds of questions," Kozhara said.
