Yaroslav Romaniuk was elected as chairman of the Supreme Court of UKRAINE. Such decision was taken at the plenum meeting. His candidacy was supported by 28 delegates, 17 voted against.
Two candidates - acting head of the Supreme Court Yaroslav Romaniuk and judge Viktor Kryvenko - were nominated for the post of Supreme Court chairman .
In July, 2005, Romaniuk was elected as a permanent judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. On September 16, 2010, he was appointed as a chairman of the Board of Judges of Ukraine.
