Fire at Vuhlehirska TPP was caused by a violation of the rules of the coal handling system operation by the duty shift, which led to the accumulation of coal dust in the turbine house and its subsequent ignition, energy and coal industry minister Eduard Stavytsky said during Hour of Questions to the Government in Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
He also stressed that in order to prevent such situations in the future, the Ministry will hold a series of workshops on security at the facilities.
In addition, according to the minister, the assessment of damage to the power station will be completed by May 31, and the reconstruction of objects will require 76 million UAH, which are already allocated from the state budget.
Stavytsky stressed that it is planned to build a boiler in Svitlodarsk, worth 57 million UAH.
