Police officers will not make obstacles to organization of the opposition action "Arise Ukraine!" that is scheduled for May 18, interior minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko said during an Hour of questions to the government at the Parliament.

"There are no obstacles to the peaceful assembly of citizens on the part of the Interior Ministry bodies. Nobody gave such instructions. If there are any cases, I ask to send the following information to me personally and I will take it under my control,” he said.

As a reminder, the media on Thursday announced that since the evening of May 17 on highways leading to Kyiv police posts will be installed to prevent people from various regions of Ukraine to get to the opposition action "Arise, Ukraine!" scheduled for May 18. Furthermore, according to this information, the law enforcement bodies gave an instruction not to sell tickets to buses and trains going to Kyiv to block the opposition action.
