LNG terminal will be constructed in Ukraine next year, vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko told the conference “LNG Revolution: Ukraine's Energy Independence.”

"Innovative technologies are progressing so fast that we will get LNG terminal next year without the heavy and expensive infrastructure changes," he said.

The official also stressed that Ukraine has entered the technical phase of the LNG terminal project, and will soon move on to the next. "Today we have shown that the technical phase will be completed in the coming months, and further we get into the commercial phase, associated with the negotiations with partners," vice Prime Minister stated.

Boiko noted that the main problem of expensive infrastructure changes has been resolved.

"We are approaching to completion of this program, but I am sure that it is realistic and it will be carried out next year. We worked out a clear and coherent plan for how it will be implemented in the near future," Boiko concluded.
