Prime Minister Mykola Azarov thanked employees of the State Emergency Service for minimizing consequences of the spring flood and instructed to carry out a set of measures for fire prevention during the summer, he said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reports.
At the same time, the Prime Minister reminded that today's task is to ensure fire safety.
He also instructed chairman of the State Emergency Service Mykhailo Bolotskyh together with central and local executive authorities to develop a set of measures to prevent fires in natural ecosystems, using the experience of extreme summer heat in 2010.
