This year, 2.810 thousand children of school age will be provided with rehabilitation and recreation, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This year, the government plans to provide recreation and holidays for 2.81 million children of school age - almost 70 percent of the total number of schoolchildren in Ukraine," the head of government said.
He noted that nearly 100% of children deprived of parental care and orphans would visit sanatoriums and camps this summer.
The Prime Minister demanded that the State Treasury Service and relevant managers of budget funds to ensure smooth financing for child care institutions.
He also instructed deputy Prime Minister Kostiantyn Hryshchenko, social policy minister Natalia Korolevska and youth and sports minister Ravil Safiullin to hold a conference call this week regarding the readiness of institutions for the summer recreation of children.
