More than 7 million people attended the all-Ukrainian clean-up event, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The events were held in 30 thousand settlements, 100% covering the country. They were attended by 180.000 enterprises of different forms of ownership and public organizations, and more than 7 million people, of which more than 1.5 million were university and school students," Azarov noted.
The Prime Minister informed that more than 32 thousand illegal garbage dumps were eliminated, of which about 1 million cubic meters of waste were taken off, during the clean-up events.
"More than 4 million trees, over a million bushes were planted. It is a great contribution to the cleanliness and order in Ukraine," the head of the government said.
