Parliamentary inviolability will be abolished, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, "there is nothing to be worried about" in the fact that today the people's deputies failed to pass a bill to abolish the immunity.

"We have a bill on the abolition of parliamentary immunity, and if the deputies really have the desire to abolish it, then we can vote on the bill and pass it by 226 votes at this session, 300 votes – during the next one. We can abolish immunity," he said.

Yefremov assured that the Party of Regions faction will support this bill to amend the Constitution.

"Today we voted for. We share the view that parliamentary inviolability should be really abolished not to have first- and second-class citizens in the state," he said.
