MPs adopted in the second reading the draft law on amendments to Article 263-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms and their Component Parts and Components and Ammunition, supplementing the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.

As ForUm correspondent reports, the decision was supported by 346 MPs.

Parliamentarians complemented the corresponding article with the concepts of "falsification of arms" and "change of firearms marking".

This document establishes criminal liability for fraud, unlawful removal or change of markings for a period of three to seven years in prison.
