The government has developed a regulatory framework for re-election to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in single-member districts, in which it was not possible to establish the results.

As the press service of the Cabinet informs, the draft law on repeated elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VII convocation in some single-member districts due to failure to establish the voting results and the results of October 28, 2012 was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on May 13.

"This is a single-use law because there was a unique situation, when several constituencies failed to establish results of the will of the citizens," the statement reads.

The draft law proposes to establish that the repeat elections of people's deputies of Ukraine in these single-member electoral constituencies shall pass in accordance with Articles 104 (re-election) and 107 (peculiarities of the preparation and holding of early elections of deputies) of the law of Ukraine on parliamentary elections on the basis of decision of the Central Election Commission, which shall be adopted not later than 15 days after the entry into force of this Act.

Thus, the government has taken into account the comments made in the final report of the OSCE / ODIHR election monitoring mission, which took place on October 28, 2012, inter alia, for the establishment of the legislative framework for the re-election of people's deputies of Ukraine in 94, 132, 194, 197 and 223 single-member constituencies.
