European companies are interested in using Ukrainian gas storage facilities, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told a news conference after talks in Brussels on the development of the gas market of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The German company RWE is interested, first of all. However, not only this company has expressed a desire to keep natural gas in our storage facilities. Other gas traders also attended the talks in Brussels - the leading companies not only in Europe but throughout the world," he said.
However, according to the minister, these companies have not submitted a formal application for the use of domestic gas storages. "At the moment these issues are resolved. The applications are being considered," Stavytsky added.
