Yesterday, on the eve of the Victory Day, first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov paid tribute to the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War. 

He laid flowers to the monument of the People's burial memorial near the chapel of St. Michael the Archangel in the Concha Zaspa together with internal minister of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko and representatives of public organizations. This is the place, where the remains of 719 soldiers killed in the battles of World War II were reburied.

In honor of the victims a prayer service was held, after which the representatives of the NGO "End the war" did tour on the territory of the People's memorial. They spoke about the heroic pages in the history of the Great Patriotic War and the battles that were fought on the territory of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov expressed confidence that today the state should do everything possible for the memory of World War II not to fade. And one of the key tasks is to educate young people on the heroic examples of the past.
