Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, activists of veterans’ public organizations on the Victory Day.
“Ukraine paid a high price for this victory. We have no family that did not make its contribution to the victory, and in fate of which the war did not leave its sad imprint. So, deep gratitude and sorrow for the killed will be forever in our hearts. Our duty is to be worthy of the feat of liberators, and we should establish peace and social harmony in Ukraine,” a posting on the web site of the government reads, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“I wish you, dear veterans, good health and longevity. I wish also success to everyone who cares about veterans’ affairs and their problems and who is the illustrative embodiment of care of the state about veterans who we are in perpetual debt to. We thank you sincerely and bow to you!” Azarov stressed.
