The government bill "On lifting the ban on privatization of the gas transportation system" will help restoring order in the energy sector, Ukrainian first deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reported.

"This step should be taken to continue the reform of this sector. It was dictated by the wishes of the European Union to restore order in the energy sector. Therefore, this bill will be put forward, and I hope the Verkhovna Rada will show unity for decision-making," Arbuzov said.

He added that "we're not talking that this law will be adopted for somebody. This law will be approved in principle... There are no problems with the European Union or Russia. This is a decision made by the state at its level."

Arbuzov also expressed hope that Parliament will soon adopt all the bills submitted by the government.
