Ukrainian foreign minister and OSCE chairman-in-office Leonid Kozhara has called to step up cooperation in conflict resolution, strengthen peace and security in the OSCE region on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry informed.
“The OSCE was established as an important element of joint post-war efforts to prevent the recurrence of nightmares of war and conflicts,” Kozhara said during his visit to New York, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“We need to do all we can to ensure that a spirit of unity should prevail in the current relations between the organization’s participating states. We all need to work together to achieve a real reconciliation and peaceful resolution of the existing conflicts in our region, as well as to create a free, democratic, common and indivisible community,” the Ukrainian foreign minister said.
