Over the last couple days (from May 2 - Ed.) the water level in the Dnipro river has risen by nearly two meters, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The highest water level of 485 cm above zero conditional was registered on May 2. Today, this level varies within 656 cm. Thus, the water level in the Dnipro river has risen by 1.7 cm in recent days," he said.

According to Kulbida, the water will continue to rise, and it will depend on the water discharge through the Kyiv dam and the water level in the Kaniv reservoir.

"In the next couple of days, the water level in the Dnipro river may rise by 10-15 cm. This will be a maximum limit of this spring," the official summed up.
