The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the corresponding decree on April 29, 2013 No. 277-p "On the approval of the draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Iceland on the readmission of persons", the Cabinet's press office said in a statement.
The provisions of the agreement are aimed at providing legal conditions necessary for the establishment of coordination and cooperation between the competent authorities of the two countries on the prevention and combating illegal immigration, Ukrinform reports.
The Ukrainian government noted that the signing of the instrument will ensure the introduction of the principles agreed by the parties and the rules that determine the rapid and efficient procedure for identification and safe and orderly return of persons who do not comply with the rules of entry, exit and residence in the territories of the contracting parties.
