Energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky promised European partners transparency in decision-making concerning the development of the gas transportation system.
He said this at a briefing after participating in a roundtable discussion on the development of the gas market of Ukraine.

"We have agreed that we will act transparently in relation to each other," the minister said.

According to him, the Ukrainian side is planning to inform European partners about all the decisions, approved by the Ukrainian Parliament, on the reform of the gas market.

Stavytsky did not answer the question about the format of the future gas consortium - bilateral between Ukraine and Russia, or trilateral - with the involvement of the EU, but noted that Kyiv sticks to the positions of European integration.

The minister also reiterated that the task of Kyiv is not only in deciding the issue of gas transportation system, but also in the development of the gas market as a whole.
