On the eve of the Easter and May holidays, the staff of the State Emergency service Kyiv department inspected the churches and temples, which will celebrate the divine offices.
As the press office of the State Emergency Service informs, special attention during the checks was paid on condition of wiring system, a required number of fire fighting equipment (fire extinguishers), as well as on conditions of emergency exits.
"Inspections of churches and temples are carried out to prevent fires and other emergencies during the festive divine offices. It's not just about the safety of buildings, but also about that of the visitors to the temples," the Emergency Service notes.
Inspectors raised awareness of staff of places of worship about security measures when using an open flame.
Duties of rescuers will be organized directly at the temples during the easter night.
