Japanese minister in charge of comprehensive policy coordination for revival from the nuclear accident at Fukushima Takumi Nemoto on Friday will visit the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and share experiences with Ukrainian specialists on eliminating accidents at NPPs.

"The minister will visit Ukraine on May 3 - 5. In Ukraine, he intends to visit the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exclusion zone and to consult with the ministers of the Government of Ukraine and the experts," press service of the relevant Japanese Ministry informs.

The Japanese government notes that the accidents at Chernobyl NPP and the Japanese nuclear power plant "Fukushima-1" have lot in common, but also many differences, and it intends to thoroughly study the experience of the 27-year-old tragedy to use it to restore Fukushima.
