As of today, the “Ukravtodor” Ukrainian Road Service eliminated pits at 32 thousand kilometers of roads. About 28 thousand kilometers of roads, or 1.9 million square meters of road surface still need repairing, head of the roads’ maintenance and traffic safety department of the State Road Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Sukhonosov said on the air of the Channel 5.

"Since the beginning of the year, 58 thousand km, 4.2 million square meters, have been affected by pits. Patching is already done on 32 thousand kilometers. There are still 1.9 million square meters of holes on the roads, which is about 28 thousand kilometers," Sukhonosov added.

He noted that media gives a bit incorrect information about the roads, on which holes have been eliminated.

"At the beginning of March - end of February, we identified 23 main routes, which carried about 80% of all transportation in the country. These roads were given priority. About 260 kilometers are left, we will finish patching on these routes," Sukhonosov reported.
